Since 2001, bet365 has been providing quality online gaming entertainment. While the bet365 sportsbook is the prominent feature of the site, the bet365 poker room offers superb software, round-the-clock online poker action, and plenty of promotional incentives.

The PlayTech-based software is secure and reliable, with a user-friendly interface, and plenty of support for multi-tablers. Bet365 also features a poker toolbox to help online poker players analyze and improve their game results and bankroll management skills.

Overall, bet365 is well established, reputable, and provides all of the accoutrements online poker players expect, with a few extra perks.

Based on the PlayTech online poker software platform, bet365 is regularly updated with new features. The lobby is user-friendly with intuitive navigation and a full array of filtering options. Tables can even be filtered according to the player’s currency preferences. Multi-tabling is supported for up to 16 re-sizable tables for the serious bet365 Poker cash game specialist.

Hand histories are available, as well as a buddy list, player notes and table stats. A variety of table customization options are provided at bet 365 to allow players to tweak game performance. Bet365 also features a Poker Toolbox to help players improve their online poker game, including statistical assistance and bankroll management.

Traffic (7)

Partnered with the iPoker Network, one of the largest and most heavily trafficked online poker networks in the industry, bet 365 receives an enormous flow of online poker players from many parts of the world. Cash game and tournament action is available 24 hours a day at bet365, with most of the cash game traffic centered around the No Limit, Fixed Limit and Pot Limit Texas Hold’em tables.

Tournaments (7)

Tournament enthusiasts will find a wide range of online poker tournaments available at bet365 Poker. From freerolls with cash prizes or seats to larger tournaments, to big money guaranteed tournaments and live event qualifiers, bet365 has a vast array of tournament types to choose from, including 7 Card Stud and Omaha tournaments. Those who don’t have the time or patience for multi-table tournaments can enjoy the much shorter Sit and Gos, including Steps and Jackpot SNGs.

Game Variety (8)

All of the popular variations of Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Stud games are supplied in the bet365 software, including Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Stud and Razz. However, most of the online poker traffic at bet365.com is focused in the No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit Texas Hold’em cash games. In off-peak hours, all other poker forms tend to be almost completely devoid of traffic.

Soft Competition (9)

The level of competition at bet 365 is fairly mixed, ranging from extremely loose players in the micro and low limits to veritable rocks throughout all stake levels. The bet365 poker lobby allows players to view statistics such as players per flop, average pot size and hands per hour, making it relatively easy to spot which tables are predominately populated with soft players.

When new players sign up at bet365 Poker they have the opportunity to enter a bet365 bonus/referrer code. 24hPoker Online Review

0

Summary (5.6)

24hPoker has had a rapid growth in 2004 and 2005 due to many TV advertisements. This is a poker room which should be recommended mainly to Apple and Linux fans who wish to play in a WSOP or EPT qualifier. This room has its flaws in terms of low traffic and quite unstable software. On the bright side, there’s a lot of soft competition even at higher stakes. Additionally, a Scandinavian poker variant called Soko, is offered as well. Unfortunately, you will find most of the action in the No Limit tables in the world of Texas Hold’em, but if that’s not a problem to you, then you may want to give this room a shot.

Software (3)

The software of 24hPoker did not pass our liking at all. First of all, there are some very serious stability issues which should not be neglected. The application does not handle large loads very well, and during our review, we even noticed that there are flaws with dual monitor support. The graphics are acceptable, but the way the lobby is built is simply unacceptable. For starters, there’s a lot of blank space for no apparent reason. We also dislike the tournament table, which opens up in a separate window. For some reason, the information is displayed in the worst thinkable manner. Despite this, 24hPoker managed to produce a great piece of software, except for its major flaws. Many functions are unique, such as automatic pot increases, auto check/raise functions which randomise the time before act, simply making it more random. Unfortunately, the big downsides help to bring down the score a lot, but solving these issues will make this software climb up quite a bit.

Traffic (4)

24hPoker is not a big player on the market, but the most recent TV promotions have led to some increases during 2005. The user traffic is usually above 2,000 simultaneous connections. At peak hours, this number increases to 3,000. Unfortunately, only one third of the traffic goes to tournaments.

Tournaments (6)

24hPoker host a pretty solid list of tournaments, both scheduled multi tables as well as sit ‘N’ goes. The latter one supports turbo modes, heads-up games and regular games. Entry fees go from $1 and all the way up to $200. If you’re into World Series of Poker and European Poker Tour, you can also participate in qualifiers for $2 and up.5 buy-in to $100. On the other hand, most of these are focused primarily in Texas Hold’em flavours.

Game Variety (7)

24hPoker support a lot of poker game types. The focus is on Texas Hold’em (Limit, No Limit, Pot Limit and Spread) but you can probably find a few Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo games as well. Soko, 7 Stud Card, 7 Stud Card Hi/Lo, 5 Draw and 2-7-3 Draw is included as well. Unfortunately, these rooms are usually empty. Stakes typically range from $0.1/$0.2 to $50/$100.

Soft Competition (8)

The 24hPoker network is usually cast on TV networks and magazines, which is a perfect way to lure fishes to your house. You won’t find much competition in the Omaha rooms, but what’s already there is usually quite average in terms of competition. As for Texas Hold’em, you can find games with 80 % viewed flops even at $5/$10. The number usually stays above 50 %.

Sign Up Bonus (7)

The sign up bonus is 100% of your initial buyin if you use our 24hpoker signup code, up to a maximum of $1000 with 30 days to clear the bonus. To clear it you need to accumulate 200 VIP points per $10. This comes down to about 10 raked hands worth at least $0.50 each for each $1 in bonus.

Loyalty Rewards (4)

You are credited one VIP point for every $0.50 you generate in rake. These points are used for various activities, such as VIP tournaments (which require buy-ins unless you pay with VIP points) and more.

Promotions (4)

24hPoker usually offer daily freerolls ranging from $20 and up to $1,000. Some of these freerolls require a number of raked hands before you can get into action. Referring a friend is quite rewarding as you get $50 added to your account. This is slightly above the average, since most sites offer the same amount, although in USD. There’s also a bad beat jackpot which you can score by losing to a stronger hand.

Support (6)

Support is only available by e-mail. Our tests showed that response times were adequate, usually within six hours. No live chat or telephone support is available.

Deposit & Cashout Methods (7)

Deposits: Credit Card, NETeller, WebMoney and wire transfer.

Cash-outs: Credit Card (refund only), NETeller, WebMoney, wire transfer and check.

The Best Casino Bonuses: How to Recognize Them?

It’s no secret that online casinos have established a strong competition to attract customers through bonuses. However, among so many options, choosing among the best ones is not an easy task.

Even worse, many casinos launch a kind of misleading advertising, offering bonuses that look very generous at first sight. But they hide behind them some requirements that are very difficult to meet.

That’s why bonuses offered by casinos have to pass several tests and criteria in order to be part of credible lists like the best casino bonuses list of Xfire.. Do you want to know what these criteria are? Below we list all the factors that you should consider when you select a good casino bonus.

Types of Casino Bonuses

There are many kinds of gifts associated with bonuses. So, we decided to mention the most popular ones:

Deposit bonds

These are a unique opportunity to raise the amount of your player account. In most casinos, they offer 100% on the first deposit. If you deposit $100 you get an extra $100 as a bonus.

Some casinos raise this offer up to 300%. However, you should always consider the terms behind such a generous offer. We also offer such info on Poker bonuses here at EveryPoker.com.

No Deposit Bonus

No doubt this promotional offer attracts many new players. These are free credits to have fun in different games. In this type of bonus, there is no need to make an initial deposit.

The money given is low compared to deposit bonuses. But that amount helps you to know some games from the paid catalog, without the need to risk your money.

Free spins

At online casinos, you can get free spins for use in slot machines. The number of spins awarded can vary; some bookmakers’ award 10, others up to 300.

It’s worth knowing that these bonuses can only be used in a certain game and the winnings are conditioned to high wagering requirements.

Furthermore, let’s get started with what you need to know to identify a good bonus:

Bonus terms and conditions

All online casinos set terms and conditions for releasing the bonuses they award. This information is published on their platforms and it is advisable to read it before accepting any bonus.

Remember that a bonus can look very generous and attractive; but if the conditions for its release are impossible to fulfill, it won’t be worth your time. Below, we will mention the aspects you should consider in this section:

Gaming restrictions

If you plan to accept a promotional offer from an online casino, check the gaming restriction. Please note that the bonus can only be used to wager on some games in the catalog.

If you are a slot machine lover you won’t have any inconvenience because many bonuses are given for these entertainments. However, it does not happen  a lot with table games, such as Poker or Blackjack.

how to recognize the Best Casino Bonuses

There are many kinds of gifts associated with bonuses.Payment method restrictions

Pay attention to restrictions on payment methods, especially on deposit bonds.

Many of the casinos place among their conditions that the bonus does not apply if deposited with some specific payment methods. This means that if you use the restricted method of payment, you will lose the promotion you were offered.

Rollover

The rollover is about the number of times you have to bet the bonus money before you can release it. It is usually expressed as follows: “x20”. This rollover means that you must bet 20 times the amount to cash the bonus.

In other words, if you get a 10$ bonus for x20 rollover, then you should bet 200$ before making any withdrawal.

Expiration period

All bonuses have an expiration date. Imagine you receive a bonus for £300 and only get 48 hours to apply for an x50 rollover.

This means you have to play 50 times the amount in such a short time. On the other hand, the ideal scenario is that you look for reasonable periods to play your bonus.

In this Wild Cherries slot review, we will learn how to operate the game, what the features are, and how to calculate your winnings. We will also share some tips on how you can manage your bets to improve your winning chances.

Wild Cherries slot Theme Design and Features

As a fruit-oriented slot, the game is drawn in 2D but with special shadows and effects. It is reminiscent of how 2D games in consoles evolved which eventually became 3D. The Wild Cherries online slot background shows a forest, and some symbols depicted having leaves and branches. The betting area looks like a bark, which is a great contrast for the theme.

Take a look at the Wild Cherries slot paytable.

PAYTABLE

Symbols

SYMBOLS

Apple Orange Dates K Q J
5 5,000 2,000 1,000 500 300 200
4 2,000 1,000 500 200 140 100
3 500 200 100 80 60 40
2 20

All the values shown here are currency values. They change depending on your bet size. The table above for Wild Cherries slot represents what you can win at the largest bet size of 400 credits per round.

To play the slot machine Wild Cherries, follow the following steps:

  • Select your bet per line
  • Choose how many lines to activate
  • Spin the reels

The reels of the Wild Cherries slot will stop on their own. If you win a prize, the prize will automatically get credited to your balance.

The bet per payline for the slot machine Wild Cherries is the amount of money you are betting for each line, and this will be multiplied by the number of active lines. If you chose 0.01 credit, and you activated 20 lines, your total bet for that spin is 0.2 credits.

Let us say that you landed a combo of five apples; the pay is 2.5 credits. You will receive 2.50 credits, and this will be added to your balance, but your investment was 0.2 credits, so your profit is 2.3 credits.

To grab a win in the Wild Cherries slot game, you have to get a minimum of three identical symbols on separate reels. The exception is the apple symbol that only requires two symbols to make a winning combo. All the reels must be adjacent, and the combo must start from the first reel.

Any combo you make on the Wild Cherries slot that does not meet these conditions will not be paid. For example, if you landed three apples on three central reels, this combo does not constitute a prize.

The Wild Cherries slot also has two special features. These are the wild and scatter symbols.

Wild

This icon functions as a replacement for all symbols in case you are missing any. The only symbol it cannot replace is the scatter. The wild is the double cherry, and it comes in with multipliers of 1x and 2x. If the wild used in a winning combo, the multiplier will be applied to the win amount. The wild in the Wild Cherries slot also pays the most amount of cash prize, provided that you landed a wild combo on a payline.

The prizes for the Wild Cherries slot wild are:

  • Five icons – 20,000 credits
  • Four icons – 2,000 credits
  • Three icons – 200 credits
  • Two icons – 20 credits

Scatter

The scatter symbol is the lemon. Catching three of it anywhere on the grid awards free spins. The wild during the free spins bonus awards a multiplier of 3x and 4x. The scatter also pays in cash, but these symbols do not have to be on any payline. For as long as you land at least three, you win a cash prize.

The scatter cash prizes for the Wild Cherries slot game are:

  • Five icons – 8,000 credits
  • Four icons – 4,000 credits
  • Three icons – 2,000 credits

Tips and Tricks on How to Play Wild Cherries Slot Game for Real Money

To play the Wild Cherries slot game with real money, you have to find a licensed online casino and create an account. From there, you have to add a credit card or a payment method and then complete a deposit. One thing we recommend is that you verify your identity before playing. This way, you can easily withdraw your winnings after you win.

Try to take advantage of casino bonuses if you play Wild Cherries slot game. Many online casinos offer free cash or free spins. All you need to do to get these bonuses is to register. In some casinos, you will get the bonuses if you deposit money. However, there are also platforms that give away these bonuses even before you pay.

With the free cash offer, you will see the results on your bonus balance. You can use that to bet on Wild Cherries slot machine, or other slot games depending on how the casino is running its promotions. Free spins can only be used in slot machines. Most of the time, you are limited to one or two game titles in the casino lobby.

For this game, you have to wager on all the paylines. Do not get tempted to bet only a few lines just to save on the cost of the total bet. You will never know on which line the combo will drop. If a winning combination landed where you have no bet, you would not receive a prize.

Also, you have to bet small if you play Wild Cherries slot game. Since there is no jackpot round here, there is no need to wager the highest amount. Most slots with progressive jackpots require that you wager the highest bet before you get qualified to win the jackpot.

Here, your goal is to trigger the free spins bonus or trigger the wild symbols with multipliers. Since these symbols land as randomly as the others, it is crucial that you spin more to get them more.

Is the Online Wild Cherries Slot Machine Safe?

Booming Games is one of the leading B2B slot developers in the world. It is located in Malta and has a license to operate from the government of the same country.

As a licensed provider, they are required by law to comply with legal expectations, such as using a random number generator or RNG software in all its games. As such, all the games that come from the company is certified before they even reach the players.

Part of the game’s certification process is to ensure that it is secure. What this means is that it must have strong encryption to prevent rigging. The game is also fair, and all results of the spins are random.

Texas Hold’em: How to play and how it differs from other poker games

0

Want to play poker? If you’re new to the game, catching on isn’t too bad. But there’s a lot more to poker than amateur players might think.

Poker is one of the most popular gambling games in America. And if you’ve been invited to play, typically you can assume that whoever’s asking you is referring to Texas Hold’em, probably the most well-known and played of the poker games.

Most poker players know the rules of Texas Hold’em like the back of their hand. If you’re new to poker, Texas Hold’em is definitely the game to learn. But you should also be aware of the many other versions of poker.

There are at least five other poker games, but some of them are rarer than others. Texas Hold’em itself can also be played in multiple ways – there’s a fixed limit, pot limit, and no-limit. No-limit Texas Hold’em is typically preferred over the other two.

The main difference between these three styles of Texas Hold’em is how much you can bet. Other than that, how you play the game is pretty much the same.

The next most popular poker game, only second to Texas Hold’em, is Omaha. Omaha and Texas Hold’em are quite similar to each other. Both use a set of community cards and use those, in conjunction with their “hole cards,” to create a five-card hand. Hole cards are the cards that each player receives face down.

Typically in Texas Hold’em, each player receives two hole cards. However, in Omaha each player receives four cards, and the player chooses only two of their four cards to be considered with the three community cards to make a five-card hand.

In both of the games, the community set consists of five cards. Only three of the cards are necessary if used with two hole cards. However, in Texas Hold’em, a player can also combine one hole card and four community cards, or just ‘play the board,’ meaning that they use all five community cards.

Some other variations of poker include the seven-stud and five-stud poker, follow the queen and high/low Chicago. Generally, poker styles can be split into three primary categories: draw poker, stud poker, and community card poker.

Texas Hold’em and Omaha belong to community card poker because they have a set of shared cards. Draw poker, including the five-card draw, consists of players each getting dealt five cards and then them trading in up to three to make the best hand.

Lastly, in stud poker, players get a mixed set of face-up and face-down cards usually in a set of rounds. Players bet in-between these rounds. Stud poker includes high/low Chicago, follow the queen, and both five and seven-stud poker.

But as mentioned before, if you’re going to learn or practice any style of poker, Texas Hold’em is the way to go.

According to Gambling News Magazine, Texas Hold’em starts with two cards being dealt to each player. The cards are dealt one at a time, face-down, and clockwise, from the dealer. Then the community cards are dealt face-up in three stages.

When the community cards are dealt, the first three cards are known as the flop. After the flop, players make their first round of bets.

Following the flop, the fourth community card, ‘the turn’ is dealt. Once again, players can place their bets.

The final and fifth community card is referred to as the river. If no one has one by this round, players again make their bets, and then each person’s hand is revealed, showing the winner.

But now the question is, how do you win?

You can win through two ways: (1) having the best hand, or (2) by default, after everyone else folds. Folding is when a player removes themselves from the round. This can be done during any betting stage.

In each betting round, you can raise, call, or fold. Raising is increasing the amount required by each player to stay in the game. Calling is when you match the previous bet. And folding is when you forfeit the round.

Your hand is a set of five cards that consists of a combination of hole cards and community cards. There are ten possible poker hands, and here they are from best to worst. The player with the best hand wins.

To understand these hands, here are some definitions. The suit refers to the symbol of the card: diamond, heart, club, or spade. Rank refers to the ‘number,’ such as 2, 3, 4, etc. and jack, queen, king, or ace.

  1. Royal flush – having the ace, king, queen, jack, and 10, all of the same suit
  2. Straight flush  – having five cards in sequence  by rank and all of the same suit
  3. Four of a kind – having four cards of the same rank
  4. Full house – having three of a kind plus a pair
  5. Flush – having five cards of the same suit (non-sequential)
  6. Straight – having five cards in sequence (does not have to be the same suit)
  7. Three of a kind – having three cards that have the same rank
  8. Two pair – having two sets of pairs
  9. Pair – having two cards of the same rank
  10. High card – having the highest card (in which 2 is the lowest and the ace is the highest)

This may sound like a lot, but you’ll get the hang of it. And if you ever forget these hands, you can always look them up. But essentially, the best hand is the one that is least probable

And now you might be wondering, “how do I strategize?” One great thing to learn is how to bluff. Bluffing is when you try to implicitly suggest that you have a great set of cards by not folding or raising the bet.

People have actually built machines and artificial intelligence that have become poker pros. One of their main assets is that they show no fear and can bluff really well because they’re not human.

The skill and adeptness of A.I. in poker suggest that poker really can be learned, and as the player, there are better and worse moves. But being human, it’s difficult to tell what move will put you at the top. When should you fold or bluff or just keep going?

Part of being good at poker is being in control over your own emotions/the expression of your emotions and being good at reading people. You need to be able to gauge how good your hand is relative to others’. And if you don’t have a good hand, you need to know if someone has a really good hand and if someone will be able to call your bluff.

But a lot of this comes with practice. Because poker is skill-based, people have become pros at it, even turning poker into a source of income. But as many people have noted, making money off of poker takes a lot of practice.

If you want to practice playing poker, a great way to do it is to play with friends. The games don’t have to be that serious, and you don’t have to play for real money. But if you don’t have time to get together with actual people, you can also play online.

There are a lot of great websites and online casinos to check out. OnlineCasinoGems.com is an amazing site that curates the best poker games and online poker offers. From there you can pick and choose which variation of poker you want to try out.

Top 7 Best-starting Hands in Texas Hold’em

0

Texas Hold’em is widely considered one of the most classic varieties of poker. Whether or not it was actually one of the first styles played, when people ask you to play poker, you can pretty much just assume that they’re asking you to play Texas Hold’em.

The game itself is well-known for famous tournaments and can be associated with the tables in Las Vegas casinos. But there’s a lot more to the rise of Texas Hold’em and its popularity.

Unlike other casino games, Texas Hold’em is a game of strategy. This means that you can build up skills and familiarity, essentially increasing your chances of winning.

Its status as a strategy-based game puts it in high regard among players who love a challenge. Knowing that winning isn’t just a stroke of luck, players feel a heightened sense of control. And as players get better at strategizing and reading other players, their control over each game can potentially increase.

Texas Hold’em (and poker more generally) is also known for being kind of a mind game. What makes it so exciting is that this part of the game is so dynamic. As a player, you have to navigate the psychology of other players which changes between games and even as the conditions in a single poker game change.

So, unlike luck-based games, when playing Texas Hold’em you have to keep your head in the game and make sure you’re aware of the other players but that they aren’t as aware of you.

But there is a little bit of luck that comes into play. Though winning in a game of Texas Hold’em or any other form of poker requires a high level of skill, starting off with a great pair of hole cards can really ensure your win.

If you’re not familiar with some of the vocabulary in Texas Hold’em, ‘hole cards’ refer to the two cards that each player receives. In other varieties of poker, players can receive more than two hole cards, such as Omaha in which players have four.

Hole cards are contrasted with what is called ‘community cards.’ These are the cards that are displayed for all players. They’re the cards involved in ‘the flop,’ ‘the turn,’ and ‘the river.’

A good player knows how to play even when they have a bad set of hole cards. But these players also know that if they can have great cards to start off with, then that’s all the better.

So what are the best starting hands? Here are seven.

  1. Pocket Aces
  2. Pocket Kings
  3. Pocket Queens
  4. Pocket Jacks
  5. Ace – King suited
  6. Ace-Queen suited
  7. King – Queen suited

Now you might be wondering, how are these the best starting hands?

Well, to start off, each of these seven possible hands contains high cards. So, if no one has anything better than a high card (straight, pair, etc.), having the highest cards will ensure that you beat out at least most of the competition.

The first four starting hands also refer to having pairs of each highest card. So if you can’t make anything from the community cards, you at least have a high pair. They also put you in a good place for getting three of a kind.

Numbers five, six, and seven, all have the potential for a royal flush, a straight flush, a flush, and possibly even pairs. The royal flush is the rarest. It requires that you have an ace, king, queen, jack, and 10, all of the same suit.

Though the odds of getting a royal flush are so low, having these starting hands (five, six, seven) gives you a good shot at hands that are more common.

Having a great starting hand can also help you strategize. Since you don’t have to worry as much about people calling your bluff (because you aren’t), then you can start employing methods to get more money in the pot.

But of course, as mentioned before, poker isn’t about just having the best starting hand. Because what’s considered a great hand will also depend on what the community cards are. So, for example, if only numbered cards are revealed (i.e. no face cards), then the starting hands listed above might not help as much.

Poker, and specifically Texas Hold’em, really is a strategy and skill-based game. Researchers have even been able to program machines to find optimal moves, being able to beat even top poker players.

So, if you want to make sure you win in a game of poker, you can’t just be hoping to get good cards. You need to work on your strategy and critical thinking.

The best way to improve is to practice! And if you’re like most people, you probably don’t have a lot of time to travel to a casino and play poker all day or even host people at your home for friendly poker competitions.

Instead, you could try online poker. Websites like NJGamblingFun curate the best online poker legal offers in the US. So you can play a lot and save some money while you do.

Online poker sites offer a variety of poker styles and playing styles. You can play more than just Texas Hold’em and you also choose to play against a machine or against other people. If you have the guts, you can even try joining an online poker tournament.

While many people may be skeptical of online gambling, there have been many instances of people hitting jackpots and making huge wins.

One of these people is Doyle Brunson who won over $6.1 million playing online Texas Hold’em. It took a long time to build up the skill, but at one point, Little was winning around $100 per hour. He even quit his two minimum wage jobs and gave up his college scholarship to pursue poker full time.

Even if you don’t plan on going pro like Jonathan Little, knowing a little more about Texas Hold’em before going into your next game can help you navigate the dynamic and fluctuating setting.

Texas Hold’em is one of the most beloved games in the world, but if you’re constantly losing, it can get frustrating really quickly. With the seven starting hands mentioned previously, you’re sure to have a leg up in each game. But those hands are not enough – you should be working on your strategy too.

Playing Online Poker in Pennsylvania

0

If you’ve followed the news of the last few years, you surely heard that online gaming and sports betting are now legal in many states across the U.S, including Pennsylvania, and are growing by the day. The more exciting news for us Poker Players is that Online poker may also be part of this exciting mix very soon, at least according to some reports and rumors out there. When did this all start?

Back in 2017, Pennsylvania was the fourth state to regulate online poker. However, since then – PA has taken a very slow path towards launching an online poker platform. Some experts predict it will finally happen this year, but who knows.

What we do know, is that unfortunately, online Poker is still not a priority in the Keystone state. It looks like PA hasn’t learned from the mistakes of other states – as for launching their online poker industries, like New Jersey for example.

New Jersey’s revenues from online poker are slim when compared to its revenues from sports betting. In July 2019 NJ made $13.9 million in revenues from online sports betting. It made only $1.9 million from online poker. There are definitely things to improve and learn from.

On the bright side, we also learned that the Penn National Gaming association signed a 5-year deal with IGT (International Game Technology PLC), a multinational gambling company that produces slot machines and other popular gambling technologies. Similar platforms already provide online gaming and sports gambling, like NFL Betting in PA. According to the report, IGT will provide online gaming for Penn National Gaming, and this deal may also include online poker. IGT has already built and operates an online poker platform in Canada. These are good news for Pennsylvania.

Some more good news, or better say – rumors, surfaced in the last few weeks. Some online rumors say that PokerStars, the largest real money online poker site in the world (controls over two-thirds of the total online poker market!) – could go live in Pennsylvania any day now.

What Online Poker sites will be available in PA?

Once online poker platforms are finally launched in PA, there will probably be a few options for players to choose from. According to our info, these poker sites have already applied for licenses in PA: WSOP.com, PokerStars.comand PartyPoker. Other companies like Rush Street Gaming, GAN, and IGT that we mentioned above – have already been approved for licenses. However – we still do not know what products they’ll be launching.

Well, it definitely looks like it’s not anymore about “if” online poker launches in PA, but rather “when”. It would be nice for PA citizens to finally be able to legally play online poker from the comfort of their homes, wouldn’t it?

NYC Food for the Soul, and for some Poker Focus

In order to play good poker – you need to eat well.

So if you love food, you’re in luck: New York City has about a bajillion restaurants. It’s one of the best cities in the world to visit if you want to try a wide variety of great food. For you, visiting some of the most-talked-about restaurants in the city will be right up there with having a great poker night, seeing the sights, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, catching a Broadway show, and strolling through Central Park.

In the Age of Instagram, you’re likely bombarded with great restaurants to try while visiting New York. But which ones should you start with? Below are several New York restaurants you should check out that are worthy of the hype. But be warned: you’ll likely have to wait in long lines.

Serendipity 3

Located on East 60th Street, this iconic Upper East Side restaurant has been around for decades. It’s been popular with celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Cher, Ron Howard, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian, and has been seen in several movies, including the romantic comedy Serendipity (2001), starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. You’ll need to make a reservation far in advance if you’d like dinner and dessert, but you might be able to get in for just dessert without a reservation — if you’re willing to wait in a long line, that is. Serendipity 3 is best known for their desserts, with their most famous dessert being the frozen hot chocolate. They also serve classic American desserts like pie, carrot cake, and drug store-style sundaes.

Shake Shack

Shake Shack started out as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in 2001. It now has hundreds of locations, with locations in 28 states (including D.C.) and 15 countries (including the U.S.). There are more than a dozen locations in NYC, so take your pick (but if you want to avoid an extra-long line, we recommend avoiding the Times Square location). It’s also one of the more affordable high-quality fast food options, so it’s a great choice if you’re looking to save some money.

Shake Shack now serves more than just all-beef hot dogs and hamburgers. Depending on the location, they also serve breakfast, chicken sandwiches, frozen custard, milkshakes, wine and beer, dog treats, and more. If you’re not sure what to try first, start with what they’re most well-known for — burgers like the ShackBurger or SmokeShack. Add some fries and a milkshake to keep things classic.

Levain Bakery

Although more than twenty-five years old, Levain has become even more popular in the Instagram Age. So popular, in fact, that this Upper West Side staple has opened up several more locations around the city, and even one in the Hamptons. They’re also opening two new locations in NoHo and the Upper East Side, which will make it easier for tourists to get to. Right now, the original location on West 74th Street can be quite a trek for tourists, so these new locations are on the right track.

So, what should you get at Levain? Levain is famous for big, thick cookies that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. They only serve a few different flavors, but their most popular ones are the chocolate chip walnut cookie and the dark chocolate peanut butter chip cookie. Just make sure you decide on what you want before it’s your turn to order — or face the consequences.

Eataly

The two main Eataly locations are the Flatiron location and the Downtown location. You can’t go wrong with either, but the Flatiron location is usually the one that’s most recommended to newcomers. If you can, make a reservation online so you can avoid waiting in a super long line.

Eataly offers a variety of food and an Italian market, so it’s pretty much a food lover’s paradise. You’ll be greeted with great wine, coffee, and fresh produce, pasta, and cheese, among so much more. It’s best to go with a group of people so you can try a wider variety of dishes. No matter what, definitely order a pasta dish with gelato for dessert.
